Dreghorn Preschool is a charity run nursery based in the Dreghorn, South West Edinburgh.
We operate on a not-for-profit basis, allowing us to provide an excellent level of childcare at affordable prices, for both the civilian and military communities.

As a longstanding part of the military community, we understand the challenges that can be faced by children facing frequent moves and separation from loved ones. We also understand how unsettled very young children can be by the disruption of military life and we offer them a place where they can feel safe, secure and settled and where they can grow and thrive Our key workers are skilled at making a child's transition to a new setting, or their first time away from mum and dad, a positive experience. |
We know how important the early years are to the long term success of children and we aim to offer world class childcare so that the children of serving armed forces personnel can have the very best start in their journey through life.
We also know how important childcare is if you are living a long way away from grandparents, family and friends. That’s why we remain a small setting with a small team of staff who have been with us a long time and understand the needs of the military community, so that you can be sure that your child will find a friendly welcoming, familiar face waiting for them every day when you drop them off.
