She comes home every day telling us stories about how fun it is to be in nursery & has thrived in your setting, which is fantastic! To Andrea, my daughter’s key worker. You have so many positive qualities like care, compassion, patience and commitment. You made her feel confident and we couldn’t be more thankful that we have had you in her life. “Dreghorn Preschool is a setting that I’d best describe as home from home, the staff are caring and nurturing and the way they look after the children is second to none, they learn what the children like and dislike and work so hard to make each child comfortable. There’s no blanket approach as they recognise every child is an individual who has different needs and pace. Our daughter was very shy when she first started Preschool but the staff made every effort to help her come out of her shell and become her little bubbly self like she’s at home. Our daughter absolutely loves going and is very excited about every day because she knows that each day is full of surprises including royal picnics, trips out and lots of different adventures ! There has been so many positive changes happening lately and Dreghorn Preschool is definitely back to it’s former thriving environment with happy staff, lovely, well equipped play areas and beautiful outdoor space where the children spend so much time. "There is a marked improvement across the environment both inside and outdoors. The space is warm, welcoming and highly motivating for the children. The wide variety of natural and real resources along with the quality construction and loose parts was a joy to see and my colleague and I would have joined in to explore and play had we had the time.
It is obvious that the children are included in many of the decisions, their ideas are welcomed and they contribute to leading their learning experiences....The plans you have for the environment, removing the kitchen wall and the installation of child height work top and handwashing sink will bring a further improvement and richer experiences.
